5.2.3 Gill Luxford reported that she and David Pendle wished to clarify that while the Community Development work at Wicklea may be in question due to BCC future actions, youth services are not under threat.
5 Project Updates
5.1 Community Action Plan
5.1.1 Questionnaires have been distributed around Brislington, although banks and Tesco have been resistant. Positive response from Somerfield, Co-op and Sainsburys.
5.1.2 Working group is in event planning phase for 15 July. Invitations are going out to groups and organisations.
5.1.3 All in BCP are welcome to come along and lend a hand.
5.1.4 While Andy Grant is not around, he will coordinate a FoNV display. Action: AG

5.1.6 Event briefing meeting on 4 July at 7pm, Wicklea
5.1.7 CLAG is presenting its Learners’ awards
5.1.8 Anne Mugford will supply photos of early 1960s Brislington, before and after major changes.

5.2.1 Reported on 30 May meeting with Heather Pollard. Trying to raise money to fund further outreach workers. David Pendle's received only one response.

5.3 Wicklea Shadow Management / YMCA
5.3.1 Gill Luxford reported that YMCA changeover still progressing.
5.3.2 Ann Stobbs reported that BEC and Wicklea are working together on computing courses and are exploring formalising a partnership among BEC, CLAG and Wicklea

5.4 Nightingale Valley
5.4.1 Andy Grant reported the 20 May workday was successful.
5.4.2 He reminded us that the next workday is 29 July, with planting at the pond to make a silt trap.
5.4.3 Lynda Harris asked about the tar and rusting barrels in Hardings Wood. AG confirmed that nothing can be done about it as it’s unclaimed land and there is less risk of environmental damage if left undisturbed than if cleanup is attempted.

6 Budget
Theresa Driscoll reported
7 AOB
7.1 David Waters is attending the Southside Bristol Network meetings. Useful in terms of addressing broader issues.
7.2 Callington Road Hospital Forum inspected site on Sunday, 4 June. Patients being moved in from Barrow Hospital from 5 June. Adequate parking. Lynda Harris raised possible future problems around the detailed planning of spatial use in the hospital.
7.3 Anne Mugford reported on anti-social behaviour problems in Victory Park and the feeling of isolation amongst tenants in the area. It was suggested that she liaise with the Arnos Park Action Group to find possible approaches to the problems. Action: AM and SP
7.4 Ann Stobbs reported on possible BCC funds available for bidding on in September. A South Bristol meeting on 8 June, from 2-4.30 pm at the Gatehouse (Hartcliffe and Withywood) may offer possibilities. David Waters to attend. Action: DW
7.5 David Waters met with Tesco to express community interest in state of Callington Road underpass.
7.6 John Plumpton raised issues about the safety of the valley after removal of fencing. Caroline Hollis has erected 2 steel gates to rectify the situation. However, all residents qualify for keys. Angela Piccini to write letter to Caroline Hollis to clarify use of gates, distribution of keys, access of quadbikes and BCC liability to injury/accidents.
7.7 Steve Pearce reported on the Arnos Park Action Group Fun Day on 16 July. Funded by the Council Parks Group (£500), the group is looking to raise grant and lottery funding and seeks affiliation with BCP. Agreed.
