The picture published in this postcard was photographed by William Albert Winchester, and titled "FIRST AVENUE ST ANNE'S PARK".
The trees look newly planted and probably were enduring one of their first winters at this location. This set of dwellings at the top of the hill was the first section to be built in the proposed development in St Anne's, of which this - the First Avenue - was clearly intended to be the flagship.
This photograph was taken looking downhill to the west-northwest. Earliest known picture: posted before 3 June 1918.
