The picture published in this postcard was photographed by William Albert Winchester, and titled "St Anne's Church, Brislington." Between the gate piers at the entrance to the church (at the junction of Salisbury Road and Langton Road), is a large placard advertising "The Old Castle Carnival" at Arnos Castle (the only building from that complex still surviving in Brislington is the Black Castle public house). The earliest known date relating to this picture was a postcard postmarked 15 Feb 1909.
