The picture published in this postcard was photographed by Walter Harry Kent, and titled "WESTTOWN LANE BRISLINGTON." It was printed photographically directly onto card produced specially for use as a postcard. The earliest known variant of this picture was printed as a postcard before 3 June 1918 (we know this because the stamp box printed on the back advises the sender that a halfpenny stamp is required, and this postage rate was replaced by a one penny stamp on that date).

Visit our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and his work in Brislington.
