A particularly lively scene with several dozen children in the foreground, has been captured in this view looking uphill on Sandy Park Road. An advert on the first storey window of The Sandringham Hotel on the left promotes "Billiards Pool Pyramids". Other signs above shops on the street include a Chemist, Brooks Dye Works, and "Elson Newsagent Stationer Tobacconist Circulating Library".

This photograph is believed to have been taken by Fred Viner, and the postcard published as a real photograph by York Publishing Company, Bristol. The front carries the title "Sandy Park Rd. Brislington." and the reference number "1213". See our notes for more information about this photographer and postcard publisher, and their work in Brislington.
